Yes. These holds show up at the top of the transaction history screen with a date of “Pending”.
When you use your debit card for credit transactions (where the PIN is not entered), the merchant receives a pre-authorization from EECU for the funds. However, due to the way credit transactions are processed, the funds are not immediately deducted from your EECU account. To ensure that the funds will be there when the transaction tries to clear, EECU places a temporary “hold” on those funds and the funds are deducted from your available balance. The hold is removed when the transaction posts to your account, or will automatically expire after a few days.
