You may apply for a savings account, checking account, money market account, or certificate of deposit from inside Online Banking. Clicking on the New Accounts link on the main menu in Online Banking will launch the application.
On the first screen you will see four tabs highlighting the different product types available. Once you click on the appropriate tab, click on the “Select” button next to the product you would like to open. You may open multiple products by clicking the “Select” button next to each product you would like to open. As you select the product, it will show up under the Selected Accounts section closer to the top of the screen.
If you would like more information on a product, click the green question mark to the right of the product description. This will pop up a new window that will give you information about the product, and provide a link to see product comparison charts.
From there click the “Next” link at the bottom of the page to continue with the application. You can follow your progress through the application using the Application Progress box on the upper left-hand side of the page.
Once you have filled in all necessary information and completed the application, it will be submitted to EECU. In some cases the application can be instantly approved by the system, in which case the product will be opened and you will be presented with copies of applicable forms and disclosures. If the system is unable to approve the application immediately, it will be reviewed and you will be contacted by EECU regarding the status of the application within one business day.
