SMS Text Banking allows you to have balance info and limited transaction info sent to a registered phone via text message. To use Text Banking, you must first have a valid Online Banking account. If you have never used Online Banking, you must go through the registration process by clicking on the “Sign up for Online Banking” link found in the upper left of the eecu.org home page.

Once you have an Online Banking account, you need to register your mobile phone number with the Text Banking service. To do this, click here to launch the setup screen and then login using your Online Banking credentials. You will then be prompted to setup your mobile phone and tie its phone number to the Text Banking service.

When you have completed the setup process, you have two methods you can use to receive account info on your phone:

1.    You can dial 1-800-889-0644 from your registered mobile phone, and then enter your PIN. Your balance info will then be sent back to your phone by text message.

2.    You can use text messaging on your registered mobile phone to send a text message to 21443. The information you receive depends on the message you send. Here are the message options:
eecu bal – to receive balance info for your checking and savings accounts
eecu hist – to receive the last three transactions from each checking and savings account
eecu cmd – to receive a list of valid Text Banking commands
eecu help – to receive the phone number of EECU’s Member Contact Center
eecu stop – to unregister the mobile device you are on from the Text Banking service
