Online banking now requires users of Internet Explorer (IE) to have version 8 or later. Any version older than that is no longer supported. If you are using IE 7 (or earlier), you will need to update to a later version of IE, or install the current version of another browser in order to continue using online banking.

Because older versions of browsers frequently require extra programming to keep them compatible with modern web sites, it is not unusual to see sites eventually drop support for older versions. Newer browsers often contain security enhancements as well that make your browsing experience safer. IE 7 is seven years old (originally released in October, 2006) and used by fewer than 1% of computer users worldwide, so our online banking partner has decided to discontinue support. With the release of IE 11 in October 2013, we support the four most current versions of IE.

Starting about six weeks ago, we added programming to our website that would detect the presense of IE 7 and provide a message notifying users of the coming change. It also provided links for either upgrading IE, or downloading the latest versions of other browsers. Those links are also provided here:
